The CMI and the Metropole Nice Côte d'Azur signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). By becoming a partner of the CMI, the Metropole Nice Côte d'Azur becomes an active contributor to the designing of CMI’s strategy and actions.

The CMI has partnerships at its core. It is a unique institution gathering governments, international development institutions, local authorities, and civil society. Such an alliance is critical for policy reforms and the development transformation of the Mediterranean region.

This new cooperation with the Metropole Nice Côte d'Azur aims at creating joint initiatives to foster sustainable and innovative urban development; promote diversified, resilient, and inclusive economic growth; and develop an effective exchange of experiences and good practices between Mediterranean and European partners.

This partnership is the result of the CMI's continuous efforts to engage in partnerships and to put forth regional cooperation for inclusive and sustainable socio-economic development in the Euro-Mediterranean region. This new partnership further consolidates the collaboration between the CMI and the local governments of the Mediterranean region.
